It is preferred that you are at home for your appointment so that the technician has access to everything he needs, which may include needing access to the basement, garage or crawlspace that is not accessible from the yard. If being home for your appointment will be an issue please speak to the office, as we will not enter your property including the yard without permission.
Different services require the technician to access various parts of the house and yard. Expect the technician to need access to the water shut off, the backflow, the clock/timer and where all sprinkler heads and lines are located throughout the front and back yard.

Appointment time varies in length depending on the type of service requested. The office staff will help provide you with an estimate of service time when you schedule an appointment if requested.
An estimate of time for the following services:
Sprinkler Start-Up: up to 1 hour (unless other repairs are needed)
Sprinkler Blow Out: up to 1⁄2 hour
Replace a Backflow: 2.5 hours
Install a new sprinkler system: 2-4 days
Sprinkler System Tune-up and head adjustment: 1-2 hours
If you miss your appointment a $45 missed appointment fee will be charged before you can reschedule. The office must be notified at least 24 hours prior to the start of the appointment time if you need to cancel, otherwise, you will be responsible to pay the missed appointment fee.

Our Scheduled for Spring Start-Ups opens in March, and appointments are most commonly scheduled for the end of April through the first two weeks of June. Our schedule for Fall Blow Outs opens in August, and appointments are most commonly scheduled for September and October. Repairs are scheduled year-round, depending on the weather. Most repairs are done from March through November. You should schedule a repair appointment as soon as you notice a problem.
We offer the following Discounts:
Flex Schedule: Is your lifestyle flexible, so that you can be fit in quickly to the schedule if we get a cancelation? Then ask to be added to the Flex Schedule! If we provide service to you on the Flex Schedule prior to your actual scheduled appointment take $5 off!
Blow Out Season Canned Food Drive: Donate 2 cans of unexpired nonperishable food and take $2 off. All cans are donated to House of Neighborly Services.
Blow Out Season Neighbor Discount: Gather together neighbors with touching yards or directly across the street to earn this neighbor discount.
3 neighbors = $2 off each.
4 neighbors = $3 off each
5 or more neighbors = $4 off each
Payment is due at the time of service. Technicians in the field are equipped to take credit cards, checks or cash. Any service that has not been paid in the field at the time of service and needs to be billed by the billing department has 14 days from the date of invoice to pay the bill or an 18% service charge will be added.
Royal Turf Irrigation accepts cash, checks, and Credit Cards. Credit Cards accepted are Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
Our 2022 Rates:
Time and Maintenance Calls = Repairs plus parts
Royal Turf charges $90 per hour, plus a $35 trip fee. After the first hour, we bill in 30-minute increments.
$45 missed appointment fee.
Spring Start-Ups:
Ten Point Start-Up: $80 - This includes turning on your system for spring and following our Ten Point checklist. No repairs or parts are included.
TM Start-Up: $90 plus parts. This service includes our Ten Point Start-Up and time for minor repairs.
Fall Sprinkler Blow Outs: $70
Yearly Sprinkler Maintenance Packages:
Good Package: $140 - This package must be purchased prior to May 31, 2022, and is good for systems with less than 12 zones on a 1/3 acre lot or less (Residential only), and includes a Ten Point Spring Start-Up and a Fall Sprinkler Blow Out. *, **
Better Package: $240 - This package must be purchased prior to May 31, 2022, and is good for systems with less than 12 zones on a 1/3 acre lot or less (Residential Only) and includes a Ten Point Spring Start-Up, a Mid-Season Check and a Fall Sprinkler Blow Out. *, **
Custom Package: Price Varies on the requested maintenance items selected. Services might include Spring Start-Up, 2-3 Mid-Season Checks, and Fall Sprinkler Blow out. Contact the office to customize your sprinkler maintenance package. *, **
*If you have more than 12 zones, the cost is increased by $5 for each additional two zones.
** Properties larger than 1/3 acre, or that take longer than 1 hour Start-Up or 1⁄2 hour blow out, are
charged on a Time and Maintenance fee schedule.
